1. What is yieldwatch?

yieldwatch.net is a smart yield farming dashboard that lets you monitor your liquidity pools, yield farming and token staking performance with a casual and sleek UI, which is optimised for mobile use. Just like the lifeguards in Malibu watch over the swimmers, we watch over your yield.

With yieldwatch.net you get all the relevant information at one glance. No more browsing to different websites and using complicated IL-loss calculators. We are the first on Binance Smart Chain that show you the deposit, pending yield, fees generated and give you an overview of the potential impermanent loss that you are facing.

2. What is Impermanent Loss?

In addition to showing your deposits and gains, we provide information about the Impermanent loss (IL) that you might face and the performance of the provided liquidity. If you want to know more about impermanent loss, we recommend to start educating yourself here:
https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/impermanent-loss-explained

3. Why do Trading Fees/Vault earnings fluctuate?

You receive trading fees/vault earnings in LP tokens. They fluctuate with price changes of the underlying assets and are also subject to Impermanent Loss as the fees are a part of the whole liquidity provided.

4. What about my private data?

We take privacy very serious. We promise not to store user input data or any other user information. You don’t need to sign-up or register with us, we fetch the available data from the blockchain and bscscan.com, even on the first interaction with our website. We are using plausible.io/Google Analytics to monitor our website traffic.

5. How are the calculations done?

We us different price oracles do determine the prices of assets and LP tokens. As we are using various APIs to pull the price information, you might encounter a discrepancy between the displayed prices and the spot prices on certain exchanges.

Information about your liquidity pools might be unavailable in some cases such as receiving LP tokens from another wallet and frequent subset deposit and withdrawal of your LP tokens. We are constantly working on improving, check back with us later if you encounter display problems.

6. What do the different figures mean?

  • Total Deposit = Current value of your deposited assets
  • Total Yield = Current value of the generated yield since deposit
  • Total Debt = Borrowed Assets
  • Wallet Balance = Tokens in Wallet
  • Net Value = Total Deposit + Total Yield + Wallet Balance — Total Debt
  • Pending = Rewards that haven’t been harvested and are currently pending
  • Total = Rewards that have already been harvested
  • HODL value = Value of initial LP deposits for hodling with current prices
  • Current value = Value of initial LP deposits after performing in the LP with current prices — this value is typically lower than the HODL value, as the Impermanent Loss reduces the value. This can be only compensated by collecting trading fees in the pool
  • Trading Fee earnings = Fees earned from providing liquidity
  • IL = Impermanent Loss https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/impermanent-loss-explained
  • LP Earnings = IL + Trading Fees
  • Vault earnings = Earnings by selling the reward for the underlying asset (can be either LP Tokens or Tokens)
  • Result = LP Earnings + Vault Earnings

7. Why is my yield negative or declining?

For some vaults, e.g. autofarm.network, there is a deposit fee. This fee will be displayed as negative yield but usually turns positive within 24 hours.

A similar principle applies to the Venus vaults in general. As time passes, the borrow interest grows a little faster than lend interest so you will see a gradual decline in the deposited balance until a harvest event happens. After the harvest, you will receive the interest earned (from XVS rewards sold) and your deposit amount shoots up. This cycle repeats until the next harvest.

Information about your liquidity pools might be unavailable in some cases such as receiving LP tokens from another wallet and frequent subsequent deposits and withdrawal of your LP tokens. We are constantly working on improving, check back with us later if you encounter display problems.

8. Why is a new vault for an existing project not showing up on my dashboard?

We try to add new vaults/farms/pool for already supported platforms within 24 hours, usually much faster.

9. Why is the displayed NET APY on venus.io higher than on yieldwatch?

Venus.io includes the XVS token reward emission in the displayed APYs. We decided against that and therefore display the earned XVS in a separate box named “XVS Liquidity Earnings”

10. Why are the APYs for certain projects not displayed?

We display the APYs that are provided by the individual projects via API. Some projects don’t provide it yet, but we are trying to get the information for every project that we support.

11. Why is my deposit shown as yield?

This happens when your vault tokens (e.g. beefy’s mooTokens) were transferred from another wallet to the selected one. In case the selected wallet did not perform the deposits into the vault, we cannot ensure the source of deposit.

12. Why is my address blacklisted?

Most likely because you pasted the wrong address :D We only blacklist smart contracts, exchange wallets and token contracts to reduce load on the servers.

13. Do you have a mobile app?

We focus exclusively on web and don’t plan to release a mobile app anytime soon. If you encounter a yieldwatch app, it is fake and most likely a scam. Only use yieldwatch.net.

14. How can I get my project listed on yieldwatch?

If you are the project owner, your platform has been around for a good amount of time and your TVL has reached a relevant level, we will consider to feature you on our dashboard. For inquiries, please contact us via Email.

We will keep updating this list as the project progresses.
